From a running Ubuntu (and other distro's) start a live session with re-install option.
Want to start a live Tails session for private browsing or Kali OS for some Penetration Testing en Ethical Hacking? Choose it and boot it.
All live sessions are "boot to ram", harddisk is not mounted. Tails is not installable.

Start Ubuntu and search in dash "ubu" and click on menu item Ubu-Live
Give your password and press OK
Choose your favorite distro to boot live or re-install:
The latest iso will be downloaded and the pc will restart in a live session with re-install option
The computer will reboot in your favorite live distro.(in this example xubuntu)
If you want to re-install Ubuntu, double click on "install ubuntu" (or other) and select your language
Be sure you have a working internet connection
Select "download updates" en "install third party software"
Choose what you want, normally 'erase ubuntu and reinstall'
While installing, you will need to provide following information:
Choose your time-zone-country
Choose your keyboard layout
Choose your name, computername, username and password. Password and username cannot begin with capital letter
In this sample the user will be logged in automatic without giving a password.

In this sample the user will have to give password in order to login + encryption of the home directory
